Commercial Mortice Lock by Zanda. A mortice lock sits inside a pocket cut into the edge of the door, housing the lock body within the door itself. This design provides superior protection compared to surface-mounted locks and handles the rigours of high-traffic commercial environments.
How this lock functions:
- Latch: Retracted by knob or lever from either side of the door.
- Deadbolt: Extended or retracted by key from outside, or by turn knob from inside.
What is a mortice lock? A mortice lock is fitted into a pocket (or mortice) cut into the door edge. The lock body slides inside the door, leaving the faceplate flush with the door edge. This internal mounting provides a stronger, more tamper-resistant installation than rim-mounted cylinders.
Why choose this fire rated commercial mortice lock?
- Fire rated: Suitable for use on fire-rated doors in commercial and residential buildings.
- Mortice body: The lock mechanism sits fully housed within the door for security and a clean finish.
- Deadbolt and latch combination: Provides two-point locking from a single mortice body.
- Hardware compatibility: Suits knob or lever furniture on both sides of the door.
Available in multiple finishes to suit your commercial door hardware. Browse the colour options above and select the finish that matches your interior design scheme.
