BAL19 & 29 Merbau Door Jamb Weatherguard Frame (A/B) - Hume Doors

Secure your home in bushfire prone areas with this BAL19 & 29 Merbau door jamb kit from Hume Doors. These Weatherguard entrance frames suit bushfire zones BAL12.5, 19 and 29 when installed to the Australian Standard AS3959.

The termite resistant Merbau hardwood jambs and head are fully compliant for BAL19 and 29 constructions. This bushfire resistant frame kit is supplied with an intumescent fire and smoke perimeter seal. The seal is removable for painting and reinstalls cleanly once your finish is dry. The difference between a door frame and a jamb is straightforward: the jambs form the vertical sides of the structure, whilst the frame encompasses the entire installed system including the head.

Designed for a single door, this frame is supplied with butt hinges. The hinges are routed and fitted to the frame but supplied unassembled for safe transport.

Glass Requirements

Any glass options for this range comply with AS3959. You must use 6mm toughened glass. If glass portions are open-able or sit within 400mm of the ground, they require screening with a BAL approved screen, which are not included. CG/DG and EG/FG frames are glazed using 6mm toughened glass and require a BAL compliant screen as per AS3959.
