The Duramax FLAR12SST is a smooth-skinned composite entrance door built to withstand Australian weather extremes. It is Parkwood's most affordable door range, offering better thermal insulation than standard timber doors, and is supplied ready to paint or stain.

- Solid composite resin edges that are clean, tidy, and can be trimmed or rebated to suit your frame
- LVL stiles and rails for superior stability, which reduces warping and bowing
- Polyurethane core for high insulation, providing a better thermal U-value than timber doors
- Glass Reinforced Polyester skins making them hardwearing and weatherproof, even in extreme weather
- High impact fibreglass smooth skin that can be painted to match your home (dark colours are not recommended if the door is in direct sunlight)
- Translucent glazing to allow natural light into your entrance
Because the solid composite resin edges can be trimmed or rebated, you can achieve a precise fit during your installation. The polyurethane core helps regulate internal temperatures, making it a practical choice for areas that require strict energy compliance.

Woodgrain Duramax doors can be painted or stained, but smooth finish Duramax doors can only be painted.

How to machine for a lock on a Duramax Plus Composite Door
Parkwood Duramax Plus composite doors contain a fibreglass pultrusion inside the lock stile for enduring stability and strength. The pultrusion makes conventional morticing techniques difficult.
Parkwood recommends getting the door pre-machined for locks, if that is not possible please watch this video.
