BAL19 & 29 Bushfire Resistant Frame Kit Sets

These Merbau Weatherguard entrance frames are engineered for bushfire zones rated BAL12.5, 19 and 29 when installed in accordance with Australian Standard AS3959. The hardwood jambs and head are fully compliant, giving you confidence in your build or renovation.

Each frame is fitted with an intumescent fire and smoke perimeter seal that meets BAL19 and 29 requirements. The seal is removable for painting and can be easily reinstalled once your finish is dry.

Glass and Screening Requirements

Any glass options for this range comply with AS3959. You must use 6mm toughened glass. If glass portions are openable or sit within 400mm of the ground, they must be screened with a BAL approved screen. Screens are not included. CG/DG and EG/FG frames are glazed using 6mm toughened glass and must be screened with a BAL compliant screen as per AS3959.

Doors Not Included

  • The door cost is additional to the frame

    Provides maximum weather protection.

  • Merbau Hardwood Bottom Sill

    Made from solid merbau timber and slanted in design. The hardwood sill is a sleek and elegant threshold that improves moisture control.
