The Zanda RS11000 restrictor stay features a concealed rail in the door frame, making it ideal for holding an external door in high-traffic environments. You can pair it with a cushion stop or a hold-open clip to keep the door fixed in the open position.
What is a restrictor stay? It is a specialised hardware device that controls how far a door can open. The RS11000 is designed to stop an external door from crashing into masonry or getting ripped off its hinges in windy locations. You will commonly see it fitted to loading bay entrances, goods store doors and other exposed external openings.
What is the difference between a friction stay and a restrictor stay? A friction stay holds a door or window at a set angle using tension, whilst a restrictor stay physically limits the opening arc. This heavy-duty stainless steel model acts firmly to protect both the door and the surrounding building structure.
Key features:
- Concealed design: The rail sits hidden in the frame, keeping the hardware out of sight.
- Wind restriction: Comes with or without an adjustable hold-open device to control the door in gusty conditions.
- Cushion stop back check: Absorbs the impact of a door thrown open, saving damage to the door and the building.
- Heavy-duty stainless steel: Built to handle commercial use and exposed external installations.
