Barrel Bolts are used on inside doors when additional security is required. Typically, they are mounted near the top of the door, where they can lock into the top door jamb.

Barrel Bolt Function: A rod-shaped bolt that slides into a socket on the opening's frame to secure a door. It is fastened to one side of the door at the edge.
